Dr. Meridith Long, a Chicago native, has lived in the Atlanta area since 1982. Dr. Long received her Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, after which she attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating in the top 10% of her class.

Upon completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, Dr. Long joined a general dental practice in Stockbridge, GA. She continued her orthodontic graduate training at the University of Kentucky, where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s of Science degree.

Dr. Long is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. She has received numerous honors and awards throughout her career, including the Georgia Dental Education Foundation Scholarship, the Grover C. Hunter Scholarship, and the OKU Scholarship. While at the University of Kentucky, her research project on the effects of dietary liquids on orthodontic elastics won the award for the best research project.

Dr. Long is thrilled at the opportunity to return to the Atlanta area and to change people’s perceptions of themselves by giving them great smiles. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, tennis, and traveling.
