Meet the Doctors

Dr. Doug Depew

Dr. Depew has treated generations of families in Cobb, Paulding, Bartow, and Cherokee counties for more than three decades. Our patients love him for being extremely patient, knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and warm.
Dr. Doug Depew has maintained a thriving orthodontic practice in Kennesaw, Georgia, since 1990. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia. He received his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he graduated at the top of his class. He earned his certificate in orthodontics and master’s degree from Baylor College of Dentistry at Baylor University. His pursuit of excellence is exemplified by numerous achievements and awards.
Dr. Depew and his wife, Vicki, have three wonderful children, Andrew, Ashley, and Ryan, and six incredible grandchildren. And in his spare time, he enjoys working with his horses, computers, and various outdoor activities.

Dr. Ryan Depew

After many years of school in pursuit of becoming an orthodontist with his Dad, Dr. Ryan is finally back in his hometown, where he is thrilled to serve his community and raise his family in the good ol’ south. Dr. Ryan believes that orthodontic treatment should be a fun and positive experience for all ages, especially for children – and that's what he does every day!
Dr. Ryan Depew was born and raised in Kennesaw and Acworth, Georgia, where he went to Kennesaw Mountain High School and graduated in the class of ’09. Following this, he moved west to Utah to attend Brigham Young University and major in exercise science. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, followed by his orthodontic training and certificate at Tufts University School of Dentistry.
In addition to spending time with his wife, Brooke, and two children, Riley and Carter, Dr. Depew loves being active outdoors through activities like rock climbing, camping, and snowboarding.

Dr. Patrick Young

Dr. Patrick Young enjoys the problem-solving and treatment planning aspect of orthodontics, working with children, and the gratifying aesthetic outcomes of orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Patrick Young attended the University of Georgia for undergrad, where he held multiple leadership roles throughout campus, spending much of his time working with UGA Miracle and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In 2016, Dr. Young graduated summa cum laude with the highest honors from the UGA Honors Program with degrees in Biology and Psychology. After graduation, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for dental school. Following dental school, Dr. Young completed his orthodontics residency at Augusta University’s Dental College of Georgia. He is working towards becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Georgia Association of Orthodontists.
Outside of school, Dr. Young enjoys playing basketball, golfing, wakeboarding, and snow-skiing. His outside interests include psychology, specifically geared toward personal development and leadership. He also enjoys trying out new restaurants with friends, hanging out at the lake, and rooting on the Dawgs during college football season.

Dr. Jackson Griffeth

Dr. Griffeth recognizes the trust his patients put in him and that motivates him to provide the best possible care. He believes orthodontic treatment can be a life-changing experience and he is intentional about keeping appointments fun, exciting and always positive. He loves getting to know patients and encouraging them in their personal life pursuits.
Dr. Griffeth grew up in Gainesville, GA and excelled in sports during high school. He then attended the University of Georgia and received an undergraduate degree in Sports Management, Dental College of Georgia for dental school, and Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Dentistry for his Orthodontic Residency. After graduating in 2021, he practiced in Asheville, NC for two years before moving back to Georgia to be close to home.
Dr. Griffeth and his wife, Katherine, have been married since 2014. They have three young children who keep them busy: Rebecca, Bear, and Maggie. In his spare time, Dr. Griffeth enjoys mountain biking, anything in water, getaways with Katherine, and being a dad.

As a family and locally owned practice, Depew Orthodontics is, in every sense, your neighborhood orthodontist.
